Ensure areas used for dog recreation are retained

From "Strategic Objectives"

Go to the project

A field declared to be "potentially deliverable" behind Oldbury Orchard in Churchdown is the only area in which dogs can be safely exercised off-lead. It is regularly used by many dog owners (of which I am not one). Most other areas in Churchdown require dogs to be on lead or carefully supervised as the areas are also used by children. There needs to be adequate dog exercising areas in all urban areas where children's activities are not impacted by dogs.

I am a dog owner, but even I know that we need housing more than we need off-lead dog exercising spaces. People should take priority in these situations. I do think though we should make sure development has existing green space nearby - parks and similar spaces.
