Green corridors
From "What should the SLP do for climate and nature?"
Go to the project
Extend tree planting between existing areas of woodland in the Winchcombe - Prestbury corridor to provide wildlife connectivity.
Replace the recent extensive cull of ash trees along the local roads with resilient UK species.
Consider reversion to formal water meadows, or even wetlands, in areas likely to be prone to flooding, particularly in the Tewkesbury area as a relatively cheap downstream flood-mitigation option and to encourage biodiversity.

the extensive cull of ash trees has had a dramatic and devastating effect from not only driving along the roads where it has happened but also views of the landscape from urban areas, I know that when I used to look towards the hills from Hatherley I could not see many houses and roads that were once shrouded in trees. More tree planting.
