I completely agree with this. The Local plan should work with the Wildlife Trust and other local conservation groups to connect local green areas and increase the biodiversity between them. There are many 'Friends of' groups around Gloucester who are working as hard as they can to increase the biodiversity of wildlife in their local parks, but they can only do so much without connecting these small areas together .

Hedgehog habitat has been destroyed on Gloucester St in Wotton under Edge. Current plans to bury the open space under 6ft of rubble will effectively prevent any return of this endangered species.

Also, habitat destruction needs to minimised.
