Solar Panels

Jo Furley•2 years ago Solar panels should be on every new house. Roofs are wasted space and there is a lot of controversy over using farmers fields for them. Also car parks should have them. I have seen these when abroad, they’re great for keeping your car in the shade whilst shopping, or dry in the rain. Rainwater could also be harvested from them.

Leckhampton

Jo Furley•2 years ago We have areas along Hatherley Brook in Leckhampton which are already untouched and full of wildlife. An old orchard which has just been lost to a housing development. The next field along which is part of our Local Green Space is now under an application for another housing development. Protected areas are not it seems protected at all. It is all very good planning new tree planting, developing new areas for wildlife, but what we really need to do is stop destroying the ones we already have especially ancient trees and scrubland. This corridor along the Hatherley Brook also floods which affects Warden Hill and even further down at Twigworth. So my point really is stop destroying what we have, it is an environmental crime.
